A Lightweight and efficient way of ascending ropes or creating one-way blocks in rope systems. The Wild Country Ropeman has set a precedent that a lot of other companies have now followed. It is much more efficient than prussic knots which obviously helps in ascending, but also is incredibly valuable for creating one way blocks in hauling set ups, cliff rescue, crevasse rescue and for protecting the leader in a simul-climbing scenario. 

The more gentle teeth on the version 1 are better for anything apart from iced-up ropes as it causes less wear on the sheath of your rope. It has an aluminium cam for ascending ropes greater than 10mm in diameter.
